Macy's Customers May Find A Double Hit From Check Card Purchases
A couple days ago, Macy’s, Inc announced that a glitch in their check card purchase processing on purchases made on December 20th between 1:00 and 2:45 PM. The company stated that it has been working with banks to resolve the issues and to prevent NSF charges from being levied against affected accounts. The company also stated that the glitch affected its “central and eastern divisions”, whatever that means. I honestly have no clue as to how Macy’s draws it geographic areas, so that bit of info doesn’t really provide that much assistance. Anyone who is affected can fax a copy of their bank statement, with their account number blacked out to 513-573-2433, addressing the fax to the attention of “Third Party Credit.” Interesting how there is no information on their website or their press release page (as far as I can tell)!
